These behavioral, physical, and societal ramifications paint a dismal picture of a lifestyle that is portrayed to the public as equivalent to the traditional nuclear family. Unfortunately, if the Federal Marriage Amendment does not become the law of the land, homosexual unions will soon hold a place alongside true marriage between a man and woman--the God-blessed family unit that has been the backbone of civilized society since the dawn of creation. This will have happened in large part because of a debate that never took place… a debate that would have revealed the facts about the homosexual behavior before we so recklessly enshrined it into law.

Conservative columnist Dennis Prager gave a talk on same-sex marriage and suggested the following guidelines,
It is better to have a loving mother and a loving father than to have two loving mothers or two loving fathers. Never let that argument go.
Avoid using the term "gay marriage." Use the phrase "same-sex marriage" instead. Under current law, gays already have the civil right to marry, just like anyone else. The issue at hand is whether a person can marry another of the same sex.
