"Christian Antichrist" is an oxymoron

You'd have to be living in an igloo in Antarctica not to know that the political Left is obsessed with vilifying the "far right."  People of faith are called names like "religions extremists" and "Christian fascists" among other things.    "Did you see the May issue of Harper's?" asks Gary Bauer.  "Its cover story is entitled 'The Christian Right's War on America.' One reviewer points out that the article systematically identifies conservative Christians with fascism."

The political Left is painting a picture of conservative people of faith as Nazis.   It's bad enough that we're portrayed as intolerant, hateful, bigots and homophobes, but Nazis?  Ironically, Nazis were tolerant of homosexuality.  Many "gays" held high ranks in the Third Reich.  Hitler was tolerant of homosexuals until it became politically imprudent, at which time he distanced himself.  For more on the role of homosexuality in Hitler's régime read Georgiana Preskar's well-researched book "Seeds of Deception." {1}

The same tactics sodomites used to brainwash "straights" into accepting their lifestyle as normal, good and natural is being used by the far left to brainwash people of faith into accepting the "anything goes" attitude of moral relativists. 

Recently I came across a document called "Waging Peace" in Samuel Silver's article, "Some of My Best Friends Are Gay." {2}  Silver tells us about the "gay liberation" movement's plan: "In one of the founding documents of the "gay liberation" movement, published in the mid-1980's, the National Gay Task Force laid out its plan to create this "big lie" that opposition to homosexual behavior was the same as hateful homophobia."

I thought it would be fun to rewrite "Waging Peace" and show how the far left is using their own version of the "big lie" to target "the far right" (TFR). 

DESENSITIZE: The first order of business is the desensitization of the TFR concerning biblical morality.  Bombard these prudes with a constant stream of sex and violence.  Start with their children.

REPETITION: Almost any lie will be believed if you hear it enough.  Example: House Majority Leader Tom DeLay is a criminal.  Repeated, unrelenting attacks against conservative leadership is necessary.  Sooner or later people will start to believe whatever is said about them.  Repeat the lie…repeat the lie…repeat the lie…

CHINESE WATER TORTURE: Talk about the TFR's fanatic views on morality and ethics until such topics as partial-birth abortion, euthanasia, embryonic stem-cell research, homosexuality and pornography become thoroughly tiresome.  The goal is to make Howard Stern more popular than Billy Graham.

PROMOTE LIES VIA THE MEDIA: Where we talk is important. The visual media, film and television, are plainly the most powerful image-makers in Western civilization. The average American household watches over seven hours of television daily. Those hours open a gate: the private world of unsuspecting consumers through which a Trojan horse might be passed.  Push sex and violence!  Give them Reality TV, sexy soaps, graphic crime scenes, Gangsta Rap, amoral athletes, Viagra ads, Howard Stern!  Push sexual freedom at any age!  Expected outcome: Because of TFR's moralistic preaching, society will consider them a bunch of religious loony birds.

VICTIMIZATION: Find excuses for the Left's "moral slip-ups" so that the American people will be inclined by reflex to assume the role of the protector. This tactic worked splendidly for Bill and Hillary Clinton (Ted Kennedy, Jesse Jackson, Dan Rather…).  Eventually the public began to view TFR as attack dogs and the Clintons as the victims.

CHARACTERIZATION OF RELIGIOUS MORAL VALUES AS BAD: Undercut the moral authority of religious leaders by portraying them as antiquated backwaters badly out of step with the times.
EXTREME VILIFICATION OF ALL PERSONS & GROUPS IN OPPOSITION: At a later stage of the media campaign against conservatism, it will be time to get tough with remaining opponents. To be blunt, TFR must be vilified…The public must be shown images of ranting people of faith (starting with President Bush) whose secondary traits and beliefs disgust Middle America. These images might include: Bush as Hitler, Rush Limbaugh as nothing more than a junkie who scored black market drugs; James Dobson as a wild-eyed anti-gay hatemonger; bigoted conservative ministers drooling with hysterical hatred to a degree that looks both comical and deranged. These images should be combined by a method propagandist's call the "bracket technique."

This kind of evil propaganda has worked so well that many conservatives won't speak up for fear of being smeared.   
At a recent rally put on by MoveOn.org, former presidential candidate Al Gore called the Family Research Council (FRC) and Focus on the Family (Focus) "extremist organizations."  His proof of their extremism were comments made by Tony Perkins of FRC and James. Dobson of Focus quoting the Constitution.  Democrat Senator Ken Salazar accused Focus of being "the Antichrist of the world." 

"And who are these Americans whom Gore hysterically screams at, Kerry blames for his defeat, that the media compares to Nazis, and that Senator Harry Reid imagines run the Republican Party? They are simply those of us who think marriage is between a man and a woman and that "under God" ought to remain in the Pledge of Allegiance.

"We are the people who look at the Constitution and can't find any reason why child pornography hasn't been outlawed, nor why the Ten Commandments have been kicked out of the public square. We think unborn children should be protected under our Constitution and that our kids deserve more than free condoms when we are teaching them about love and sex. We believe America has been blessed by God and we believe, as our Declaration of Independence states so clearly, that He is the source of our liberty." ~ Gary Bauer
